NHS uniform washing allowance

We understand that some NHS front-line workers are washing their own uniforms at home during the current Covid-19 outbreak and maybe concerned about the additional water used. We are therefore providing an allowance to cover the additional water used.

 

As a not for profit company, we need to limit eligibility for this allowance scheme to those front-line NHS staff members who would benefit most.

To be eligible for the allowance, then you must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Receive your water from us
  • Have a water meter at your home
  • Be a front-line NHS Covid-19 worker, who has to wash your uniform at home

If you are eligible you can claim an allowance of up to £40. The allowance is being granted for the year 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021 and only one application per household will be considered.
