Storm Goretti is forecast to bring heavy rain, snow and strong winds over the next 24 hours. Our teams have been preparing and doing all they can to maintain supplies and stabilise the network.

Customers should continue to take the following steps to prevent internal flooding of homes:

  • Check your pipes, especially those exposed outside or in a garage
  • Know where your stop tap is, it’s usually under your kitchen sink but could be in a downstairs toilet or garage
  • As we experience the thaw, check pipes for any leaks from joints or cracks and turn off water if you need to
  • Have the number of a registered plumber handy

Examples of projects that will be considered for funding include:

  • Health and Wellbeing – Projects that support the health and wellbeing of people in the community
  • Cost of Living - Projects that help people take steps to manage or avoid debt and build their financial capability. This can include activities that raises awareness and take up of utility affordability support such as the Welsh Water schemes
  • Environmental – Improvements / creation of local green spaces or environmental initiatives
  • Water safety or efficiency - Educational programmes that raise awareness around water efficiency, sustainability, or innovation.
  • Staff / instructor funding – We do not fund salaries or wages for staff. (Funding can be used to train current staff to improve the quality and impact of the group’s activities).
  • Shortfall funding – to cover gaps in existing project budgets - for example, if you are seeking additional money to complete a project that already has partial funding.
  • Ongoing costs (bills or utilities)
  • Other funders or grant makers
  • Party political activities
  • Multiyear funding
  • Specifically religious activities
  • Events, conferences of sponsorship
