Customers should continue to take the following steps to prevent internal flooding of homes:
- Check your pipes, especially those exposed outside or in a garage
- Know where your stop tap is, it’s usually under your kitchen sink but could be in a downstairs toilet or garage
- As we experience the thaw, check pipes for any leaks from joints or cracks and turn off water if you need to
- Have the number of a registered plumber handy
